Kerrie moved to Dubbo from Brisbane via Sydney in 1985. Her background in corporate convention travel at Scandi Travel in Sydney gave her the background to transfer her skills to that of Function Co-ordinator at the Cascades Motor Inn, then to running her own business Functions by Kerrie Kerr. After a very successful 3 years, the business was sold so that Kerrie could concentrate on her young family of 4 children.
After completing the Bachelor of Business (Business Management) through CSU Wagga Wagga, Kerrie refocused on building her property portfolio. Always interested in properties "with a twist" the portfolio grew to include blocks of units, older style properties well located that had developement potential and a duo of post war homes in Queensland that are now a prime high rise developement site.
Kerrie Kerr began her business Accommodation Choices in 2009 in response to a shortage of furnished accommodation in Dubbo. The aim was to provide affordable options for short term stays for visitors to Dubbo and the surrounding district. The first were the Goode Times Apartments - a block of 5 x 2 bedroom units purchased in 2009, renovated one by one, then furnished. They became very popular with a range of visitors including corporates, contractors and small families.
As the need grew, more properties were added to the portfolio resulting in a selection of 2,3 and 4 bedroom apartments, townhouses and houses to suit a range of clientele. The Accommodation Choices team prides itself on assisting clients and tenants find homes that suit their needs for the duration of their stay in Dubbo. "Sourcing and leasing rental accommodation in a tight rental market can be a stressful situation and we try to have a friendly professional relationship with all our tenants to help that process be a little easier"
The latest developement addition are the Macleay Apartments in Dubbo - 5 x 2 bedroom executive villas which were completed in June 2016. They are a much needed addition to the portfolio offering brand new well appointed and thoughtfully designed villas in a secure complex. All villas have one garage and second secure car space.
Accommodation is now available in Dubbo, Brisbane and Newcastle.
Administration & Cleaning Staff
Olivia has been with us for 4 years now from when she commenced studying her Bachelor of Economics (Commerce). She now provides consultant work along with her full time role in Commerce.
Belle supports the office with marketing, IT, web design and maintenance.
Claudia is part time in reservations and our general trouble shooter.
Allison has been with us for over 5 years and assists with cleaning, maintenance, on the ground assistance and reporting.
Repairs and Maintenance Support
John Trouncer - Dubbo Property Doctor. John is our go-to man and is invaluable with his "can do" attitude. John has had a lifetime of experience in residential property building and maintenance.
